Commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the death of United States President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
The 22nd of November 2013 marked the 50th anniversary of the death of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. This 5 Euro .925 Sterling Silver coin was issued by San Marino to commemorate this event. The weight is 18 grams. It is 92.5% silver with a silver weight of 0.535 Troy ounces. Diameter of this 5 euro coin is 32 mm. The coin was produced and packaged for San Marino by the Italian Mint and therefore bears the letter "R" of the Italian Mint. The reverse of the coin has a portrait of President Kennedy with the years 1963-2013 and the inscription "ICH BIN EIN BERLINER" and the English translation, "I AM A BERLINER". This refers to the speech President Kennedy gave in Berlin on June 26, 1963, just 5 months before his assassination in Dallas, Texas. The obverse has the coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino encircled by the inscription REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO and the name of the designer,
