    Description

This listing is for a wonderful vintage/antique and hard to find Niloak Arkansas Pottery parrot planter in a mustard yellow matte finish. Niloak pottery is somewhat primitive which makes it so appealing. The Niloak Pottery Company operation in Benton, Arkansas until the late 1940's when it closed. These pieces are getting harder and harder to find and very collectible. This parrot is perched on the sawtooth edge of the planter and the head is slightly cocked to one side. Has red eyes and remnants of green highlighted tail feathers. Amazingly the condition is EXCELLENT, no chips, cracks, nicks, flea bites, or crazing. Does have some calcium reside on the inside rim of the planter. Marked NILOAK in raised letters on the base. Niloak is intended to be primitive pottery so the overall look is as it was intended. Very desirable piece!
