The scene is set within a colorful wreathe made from holly. Above are 3 silver wreathes, and a beautifully printed Christmas greeting can be seen below. When you supersize image 1 you can see the wonderful details. Notice the family pictured in front of the cottage. The artistry is terrific and the colors are still vivid. Printed in pre-WWI Germany, this beautifully embossed and gel-surfaced postcard has not been postally used and has handwriting on the divided back. Here is a wonderful 100 year-old card that is ready for framing, to be given as a thoughtful gift, or it can be added to your postcard collection.
